SMS provides family strengthening events and care programs to foster and adoptive families to encourage true, honest, and happy smiles in children. SMS serves 17 Southwest Iowa counties and Douglas County in Nebraska, serving more than 265 families and over 550 children to date!

The impact of your giving is significant:
All children in the home of foster/adopt families receive a birthday card and gift in the mail. Children like Melissa will receive a birthday card and gift in the mail for her birthday! Thomas will attend the annual holiday dinner, wherein he will experience a traditional Thanksgiving meal, take pictures with Santa, and receive Christmas gifts from his very own personalized wish list!
Youth entering foster care for the first time, like Sarah and Joey, will receive a backpack full of necessities and care items to call their own.
Families like the Collins' will have access to dozens of free events throughout the year that encourage engagement, connection, and community; an invaluable support network for resource families!
